“Let the children be who they are and the rest will follow…”
My approach to photography is not like that of your everyday photographer. If you are you are bored of cookie cutter poses I’m the photographer for you. My philosophy as a photographer is to keep posing to a minimum and interaction is the key to success.
A photo sitting with me rarely involves sitting if your child is mobile. Your little one and I are off exploring from the moment we meet. I’ll have them show me the world from their eyes. There is nothing like following a little one around with a new found friend. As your children show me what makes them tick I am photographing your child…capturing the core of who they truly are.
My method helps to produce photographs have a true to nature life and rarely have that forced quality to them. Most importantly though children generally respond very well to my relax approach to things. We all walk through a park or your back yard…so if your little one is still clingy mom can be an arms length away and it’s not a problem.
In the end you get a snippet in time that will melt your heart for years to come.
As for myself the photographer, I was born and raised in Greenfield, Indiana…the proud state/home of the Indianapolis 500, Larry Bird (the basketball player) and of course the greatest NFL Football team ever the Indianapolis Colts. I am a proud Air Force spouse. I married my husband and the Air Force in 1999. My husband has been and endless fountain of support and encouragement over the years of our marriage. He has more than once gently pushed me toward my dream of become a professional photographer. In October of 2000 we were blessed with our one and only daughter. From the day she entered this world I have photographically documented her ever move…even the littlest of milestones have been capture in a snapshot of time. I don’t know what else to tell you about me…I’m me!
